Experiential Anatomy:
At the foundation of the dancer’s “instrument”, a mover’s dance technique and mechanical efficiency, lies one’s understanding of the development of human movement. Daniel’s classes involve a guided experience of the roots of human movement. That is an exploration of how ontogeny, the development of a human from fetus to adult, recapitulate phylogeny, that is the evolution of the species from simple cellular creatures, through fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, simians, and humans.
Functional Anatomy hands on training:
Movement patterning that has been discovered in one’s own body can be transmitted to the body of another. Duet movement techniques for facilitating the discovery process of another person.
